Territory Manager: Gayla Nakamura

About Gayla:

Gayla is one of our many fantastic Territory Managers in the North Texas area, focused on providing customers with stunning customized renovations to their home. Gayla works in partnership with StarFloors' brother-company StarPower to provide her clients with the most stunning media rooms and custom entertainment units around.

She offers Full Construction, Turn Key Installation, Accessories, Custom Cabinets, Lighting, Trim Work, Flooring, Custom Dry/Wet bars, Granite Countetops, and more.

Gayla currently lives in Trophy Club, Texas with her husband and 2 beautiful girls.

StarFloors has the opporunity to sit with Gayla and ask her a couple of questions about what makes her so well-liked by her clients and so darn successful! Here's what she had to say:

StarFloors: What do you consider to be your “specialty"?

Gayla: My attempt with each of my clients is to create a space that sparks emotion. From colors to flooring to layout, it’s important to make sure the design appeals to each member of the household. When dealing with my clients, it’s essential to be authentic, real and most importantly honest. Truthfulness builds rapport and trust, the two most important aspects of a design job.

SF: What is your favorite thing about working for StarFloors?

GN: Supportive staff is always there to help in all my needs! Management never hesitates to say how much they appreciate my work for the company.

What do you love most about your job?

Designing for the customers & their families. I experience the excitement and end result reactions from everyone in the family and that is what makes my job so rewarding.

What is the best compliment you have ever received on a job?

"You were not the cheapest bid we received but we went with you because we love your design as making it our own and communication in understanding the process!"

In your opinion, what is the most cost effective thing someone can do to improve the value of their home?

Spend your money on the areas you spend the most time in and if you can't do everything at once let's talk about a 5 year plan.

What is your favorite weekend activity?

Spending time with my family
